James S. Wilkie, Esq.

James was originally born in North Miami Beach; however, due to the fact his father is a United States Marine Corps Officer, he lived in dozens of places across the continental United States. James graduated from Collierville High School in Collierville, Tennessee, where he elected to remain and receive his Bachelors of Science in Education from the University of Memphis. While attending the U of M, he joined the prestigious fraternity Pi Kappa Phi, where he held multiple executive council positions. Furthermore, Mr. Wilkie went on to make the Dean and Presidents list several times through his undergraduate education. Then, he was accepted to Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing Michigan, where he placed in the top 4% of his class. Wanting to be closer to his family In South Florida, he transferred to Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Juris Prudence in 2011. Mr. Wilkie attended the Nova Southeastern University Family Law Clinic, where he worked with both The Thomas Family Law Firm in Memphis Tennessee, and Legal Aid of Palm Beach County Florida. During law school, his concentration was Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Dependency Court. He then accepted a Job with Katz & Katz where he practiced a wide variety of law, including but not limited too; Plaintiff Personal Injury Protection Litigation, Personal Injury, Contract Actions, and Criminal Defense. Eventually in 2014, Mr. Wilkie opened the doors to The Wilkie Law Firm, P.A. practicing mainly Plaintiff Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. Through the years, the firm continued to grow eventually taking on a Partner, attorney Lyle Long. The now Wilkie and Long, P.A. has recovered millions of dollars for their clients. Lyle R. Long, Esq.

Lyle was raised and educated in Florida. In 2009, he graduated with a Finance degree from the University of Florida. For law school, Mr. Long attended the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Lyle interned at Michael Weinstein, P.A. and gained valuable state and federal defense experience. In 2013, he accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, Florida. As a Public Defender, Lyle quickly ascended from handling misdemeanors in county court to serious felonies in circuit court. Mr. Long has tried numerous jury trials and handled felony cases carrying mandatory life sentences. After gaining litigation experience in the public sector, Lyle transitioned into private practice. In 2015, he accepted an associate position at the Wilkie Law Firm, P.A. The firm focuses on personal injury and criminal defense. Within one year at the firm, Lyle became partner. Senior Associate Alex Jean, Esq.

Alex Jean, Esq. is a Senior Associate at Wilkie & Long, P.A. Alex is a native to Fort Lauderdale, where he attended Cardinal Gibbons High School and then completed his undergraduate at the University of Central Florida. He went on to obtain his law degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. During law school, Alex was a Certified Legal Intern for the Broward County Public Defender’s Office, handling felony and misdemeanor cases, and also served as Vice-President of the Criminal Law Society. Alex clerked for Wilkie & Long, P.A. after he earned his J.D. and while preparing for the Florida Bar exam, at which time he learned the rewarding feeling that comes with aiding clients in their recovery and obtaining compensation for their pain and suffering. From the beginning of his career at Wilkie & Long, P.A., Alex has focused his practice on criminal defense and personal injury. Mr. Rotwein served four years in the United States Marine Corps with one combat tour in Afghanistan receiving multiple medals and awards for his actions. After receiving an honorable discharge for his conduct on active duty, Mr. Rotwein focused his attention towards his education. Mr. Rotwein is currently in his final semester at Florida Atlantic University studying for his Bachelor Degree in Political Science. Justin plans on attending law school and becoming an attorney at Wilkie & Long, P.A.
